Mission: The Shared Folder

Ticket #7031 — the web team can't edit each other's files. Read it:

cat ~/ticket-7031.txt

Make /srv/projects/shop a folder where everyone in webteam can change everything — what's there now, and what they'll make tomorrow.

Useful commands:

ls -la /srv/projects/shop
ls -l /srv/projects/shop/css /srv/projects/shop/img
id marko
sudo -u marko touch /srv/projects/shop/index.html
find /srv/projects/shop -type d
getfacl /srv/projects/shop

💡 Fix what's there and what's coming: setgid on the folders gives new files the group; a default ACL gives the group its rights on them (each person's umask would take them away).

  2. Give everything in the folder to the group webteam
  3. Let the group read and write everything — and enter every folder
  4. New files must get the group webteam: setgid on every folder
  5. New files must be the group's to write, too: a default ACL on every folder
  6. Prove it: ana makes a new page, marko edits it
